Did you know the Office of the Sheriff, County of Franklin has received approximately 484 Domestic Violence calls for service through the Office of the Sheriff County of Franklin E911 Center from January to October 2020? This number is a 96.7% increase from the same time period in 2019 with 246 calls for service.

Also, since January to October 2020, the Domestic Violence Advocate Coordinator for the Office of the Sheriff has accompanied 118 individuals to court to seek protective orders against a family/household member. This number has seen a 34% increase from the same time period in 2019 with 88 court accompaniments.

The Office of the Sheriff wants to commend our Domestic Violence Advocate Coordinator, Katrina Hancock, for all that she does for the County of Franklin! Katrina has worked with Domestic Violence Advocacy for 24 years and has been a significant resource for support and understanding in all aspects of domestic violence.
