The Executive Assistant to the Sheriff manages the administrative office operations of the Sheriff; maintains and updates Sheriff’s Office leave (sick, vacation, compensatory and holiday time); reviews the Sheriff’s Office personnel timesheets for accuracy and inputs staff time into the Munis Payroll module; makes deposits and reconciles department’s checking accounts; deposits and documents funds as received, to County Treasurer’s Office. Handles all the Sheriff’s calendars and appointments. Provides Human Resource support for new staff including IT access and/or equipment as required. Performs responsible administrative and technical work as an Executive Assistant to the Sheriff and assists the Major as requested.
Must have excellent communication & public relations skills; support the Sheriff & work well under pressure while handling multiple priorities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Education & experience equivalent to an associate degree w/ 7 years of relevant work experience. Competitive salary/DOQ/E + Exc. Benefits.
