Byron Hicks was named the WoodmenLife Award winner for the month of September. Hicks is the Coordinator and Liaison to the Sheriff’s department for the Citizens On Patrol Service (COPS). Byron is very committed and speaks so highly of everyone who has dedicated their time to this program and is so proud to be a part of it. “Give back to your community and volunteer!” Byron continues by saying that “volunteering provides many opportunities to make a difference in someone’s life.” At a time when most people would be thinking about what projects they have at home, taking up golfing, or spending their time relaxing Byron and so many others are making a difference by volunteering.

We congratulate Mr. Hicks and thank him for all he does.

If you want to learn how you can be a part of this and so many other volunteer opportunities for your community, please email Sergeant Darryl King at Darryl.King@franklincountyva.gov
